Teachers in Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State have commended Hon Doctor Farah Dagogo for his immense contributions to the uplift of education in the LGA.
The teachers, under the aegis of Concerned Teachers in Degema, and led by their Chairman, Mr. Ebianga Iboroma said they were particularly overwhelmed with Farah Dagogo’s payment of WASSCE fees for all Senior Secondary Students in all the communities that made up the LGA.
The teachers made this known when they paid a thank you visit to Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo.
They equally commended Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo for also providing other basic social amenities that are beneficial to the various communities that made up the LGA.
Some of the listed amenities included: provision of THREE BRAND NEW TRANSFORMERS FOR BAKANA COMMUNITY, a GENERATING SET that powers the whole of KE COMMUNITY, among others.
The teachers were also quick to clarify that their visit has no political undertone but simply to commend an individual( Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo) for positively affecting the educational landscape of Degema.
They later itemised other challenges facing teachers in the LGA and solicit for his assistance and intervention.
Responding Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo, who is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP, for Degema Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly rerun elections, commended the teachers for their untiring efforts towards qualitative and productive education.
He explained that the payment of WASSCE fees has no political undertone as he has been fully commited to it even before his foray into politics.
He reaffirmed that all society, Degema inclusive, can achieve rapid growth and development, with a solid and committed educational foundation.
He said he will continue to sponsor and support good educational policies at all levels, even if it meant inconveniencing himself.
