This is Buhari’s EFCC boss, a man Buhari is working with closely to recover stolen funds from past PDP leaders (only). This is he Magu wearing shirts and facecap of an organization the funding of which we are yet to decipher.
Speaking of the funding, we understand 10,000 shirts at a thousand naira each was ordered and added to face caps, and other inchoate expenditure, budgets in the range of ten billion naira have been thrown around. So I ask the EFCC chairman as well as Buhari “where are these funds coming from? Who is paying? Why is he paying? What is in it for the person? How did the person get the funds? Is it Remita and budget padders?
While we are asking if it is fraudulent people secretly backing this with moneys no one can explain, the EFCC chairman is here saying he stands with Buhari. My question is IS HE AWARE HE IS SUPPOSED TO PROBE EVEN BUHARI’S ACTIVITIES? Even if he cannot press charges against Buhari because of immunity, does he know it is his responsibility to be LOYAL TO THE CONSTITUTION AND NOT TO THE PRESIDENT? Is he aware that it is his job to investigate Buhari at all times, and pass whatever evidence of fraud on to the National Assembly who must then order more investigation and begin impeachment process, should Buhari or any president be found culpable say in budget padding and or 25 billion paid to Remita?
Yet he stands with a man wose activities he is supposed to be investigating, according to his constitutional duties.
Nigerians must learn to elevate STRUCTURES and not human beings. The EFCC does not stand with a president but with the constitution and criminal and penal codes. It stands with honesty and ethical practices. It does not stand with humans, no matter how iconic, but with institutions.
I expect Buhari to issue the EFCC Chairman a query asking him pointed questions on the sourc of funding for the #IstandwithBuhari campaign and to find out if the funding and the T-Shirt on his bac has not compromised his freedom to do his job.
