Following the intra-party violence between members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) which claimed the life of one Haruna Adamu on Saturday, The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has vowed that all those involved in the crisis would be fished out and made to face the full wrath of the law.
The orgy of violence occurred during a political rally on Saturday in readiness for the forthcoming councils’ poll.
The FCT Minister, Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello after receiving full brief from the security agencies on the Gwagwalada political crisis, condemned the actions of the political thugs.
In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary of FCT, Hazat Sule, the minister further warned that security breach in whatever manner was not acceptable in the FCT, saying politics should not be a do-or-die affair.
According Bello, political violence had no place in the nation’s history, and as such directed that all perpetrators of the violence be arrested and brought to book.
He warned political gladiators not to test the will power of the government, as his administration would not condone barbaric behavior from anybody no matter the person status in the society.
“The security agents must fish out perpetrators of this violent attack and be made to face the full wrath of the law because nobody is above the law,” Bello said.
He assured residents of the FCT that the situation in the troubled area had been contained, adding that the security agencies were on top of the situation.
He called on residents of the area to go about their lawful businesses.
