Let me be quick to begin this appeal by calling onthe genuine, origin3al and patriotic members andleaders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Benue state to painstakingly commence theprocess of searching for a credible governorshipalternative ahead of the 2019 general election if theparty is to survive extinction.The general concern here is based on the followingverifiable realities. Since assumption of governorship powers elevenmonths ago, Samuel Ortom whose lip-seviceslogans of “In God We Trust” and “By the Grace ofGod” has disappointed both his God and thegenerality of Benue people in every materialparticular. His major achievement all these long is the induceddecamping of PDP maggots and political vultureswith no electoral value with the sole intention tobuild his structures and destroy the ones he met onground on the eve of his joining the progreasivefold where he remains a stranger. The Amnesty program initiated by hisadministration appears more of “windowdressing”as those given amnesty are still perpetrating evilacts under the cover of government.Never in the history of this country has agovernment increased the yoke of its citizens the way the Ortom’s cut-throat tax regime has imposedon the ordinary folks – a classical case of the BiblicalRehoboam and Jeroboam in 2nd Chronicles10:1-19.Few days to Samuel Ortom led administration’s firstanniversary, no physical development has either being done or completed as compared to what hispredecessor Suswam did in his first 100 days inoffice while civil servants groans under the pains ofnon-payment of their monthly salaries even withthe federal government Bail-out funds – what ashameful change! It is equally a shame that Benue under a man ofGod has been blacklisted by the ICPC as one of thetopmost states to have misappropriated the Bail-out funds meant for the poor Benue workers upthe tune of N2billion.While Samuel Ortom has occupied himself and taken delight in building his political and businessempire in a hurry, he has allowed the APC to sufferelectural fortunes and even die with the allegedintent to abandon “the sick baby” and team upwith his “type” in 2019.The point being made here is that the Samuel Ortom led government is a BAD example of the changemantra which the APC stand for and were entrustedwith powers by the Benue electorate. Maybebecause he gate-crashed into the party and wasnot prepare for governance but only desperate fortranscient power. It is a stupid thinking and action that while Benue ison economic and financial fire, Samuel Ortom hastaken delight in jetting out with 40 unproductiveand expired elements to China to patronize womenof little virtues and hot joints as well as eat frogs inthat country in the name of celebrating his 55 birthday at the expense of the Benue’s commonwealth.In summation, this post is intended to advice theAPC leadership to be wary of the antics, anticidentsand tricks of the man on the throne who couldpurchase three nomination forms in three different political parties at once before he destroys the APCand jump ship.May this appeal be taken with immediate shoppingof Samuel Ortom’s replacement because the futureof APC in Benue under his (Ortom) careless watchlooks brinks even with the anticipated Local Government Election that he is finding difficult toconduct in the 2nd quarter of this year.
